PROGRAMS

FAMLI's gender specific Mentoring Programs, "See A Man, Be A Man" and "Princes 2 Queen", operate in accordance with the traditional school schedule, which is September to June and then, July to August for our six week summer session. The program activities occur in the context of our on-going After School Enrichment Program, which is located in room 402 on the campus of Audubon Middle School, 4120 11th Avenue, Los Angeles, California 90008. Youth participate in a minimum of two program activities and receive a certificate of completion in June of the year of engagement. Some activities run the course of the year, and some are "special workshops" that have a more specified beginning and ending time.

Testimonies
"I was a lost child, confused about my
identity, getting into trouble, running with
a gang and on my way to jail when I joined
the See A Man, Be A Man program,
and it changed my life. I am now 21 years old, working, and about to enter college.
I'll be the first college graduate in my
family when I finish."

Testimonies
" I used to be interested in gangs. I felt no once cared about me. Shortly after coming to the program I became less interested in gang life.
I became totally involved in the program.
I liked it so much that I volunteered as a
jr mentor during my sophomore and junior year
of high school. Mr Torre and his program helped me change my life"

FAMLI alumnus
